I heart DC

I really do. Although I had to do a lot of walking today, and I've already seen the sights on a few trips before, so I'm a bit cranky :)

Moving Betsy in went well. Her single is pretty big (I have a feeling, a lot bigger than the OU singles are gonna be). It has real walls, not plaster, that were freshly painted (Gaaaaaad did it stink) and a sink complete with medicine cabinet. She has a shared floor "showers and toilets" set up, though.

I made my little pilgrimage to the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception and got the indulgence, I hope. I'm not really sure how that works, except that you have to receive both Confession and Communion and be free of even venial sin. Gulp. Adding to the fear was the fact that at the Mass the usher chose me and Betsy to carry up the bread and wine! In this huge, packed-with-people Cathedral! It wasn't an important priest or anything, or I would have fallen over dead. Betsy almost did, as it was :)

I'm not feeling very well tonight - is it maybe the looming stress of all that packing and traveling and unpacking and settling and getting back to (ick ick ick) studying? Hmmmm, maybe. I just have this weird sickly smell in my nose. Maybe it's that fresh paint. Like I need more fumes!
