What a nasty day

The weather was good, but schoolwork was not pleasant at all. I had a Statistics test today that I thought I was super prepared for, but after taking it I'm not sure that I did well at all. Pretty sure I fudged it, actually. Not a good feeling after studying so much. I just had a bit of a mind-blank when I looked at all those complex, difficult-seeming questions. Maybe I'll pull off a B ... I needed an A, what with my previous two 70 percent test scores, but I'll take what I can get ...

Not to mention the fact that the normal room where we take it, Morton 201, was double-booked with a Chemistry exam. The fellow in charge of chemistry proctoring was standing in front of the door with his arms folded, as though to say, "Come and try, you punks." Dr. Bashaw was there and she looked rather bemused. In the end we poor victims of the Stats monster were made to divide up and head off into several different classrooms to take our test. Rats.

I was just looking at that last sentence, and I'm not sure that "our test" shouldn't be "our tests." Sigh. In my experience, the Precision Language class gives one no confidence; it merely imparts the ability to second guess one's own writing at every turn.

Ah well. Tomorrow will be better. I'm done at 11! Yippee, skippee!

And I'm going to Confession this weekend. Must think about what I have to say ... argh.
