Well, Kerry conceded the election today - without launching any huge legal battles. I have to admit I was impressed. He didn't turn the election into a petty court fight the way Al Gore did. He was a statesman in the end, and as much as I loathe just about all of his policy positions, I can definitely respect him for putting the welfare of his country above his ambition. Bravo!
Here's hoping we can heal the rifts we've developed in the American electorate. It was a nasty election, but we can't be nasty to each other forever.
