Hurray for Presents

My family opened Christmas presents earlier today (Christmas Eve). It all went quite well. I got a very lovely scarf-and=mitten set, a sweater, a pretty rose pin, and another purse (grrrr). It is a very nice purse, although I have no clue what I am going to do with it. I am the Girl of Ten Thousand Purses. And I only need one, you know. It was sweet of Mother to get me the four presents, and the boys came out even better - they got lots of video game stuff. Ugh. I can not understand the allure. It must be a guy thing.

My dad went out TODAY and got Mother some pretty earings. Ah, the stereotypical Last Minute Male Shopper. I suspect that they are cubic zarconia, but he wouldn't say. How cheap ;) but they sparkle well enough!

My mother gave him a photo thing-a-ma-bob and ... drum roll ... ties. Yes, ties, the one gift no man wants - and yet he seemed really excited about the ties in particular! I guess he really needed some new ones.

Well, I am going to go get ready for Midnight Mass. EVERYONE in this family is going to Immaculate Conception, although I think I am going to have to strangle Andy in order to get him to put on a blazer. Aye ... difficult teenagers ... I can not remember ever being so "difficult." My mother reassures me I was.
