Fun girl time!

We had a nice little girl's night at Kat's house. KT couldn't make it - Iain was in town for the FIRST TIME in about one hundred fifty two years and five months; therefore, he took precedence, which is certainly understandable. Especially since we're all getting together next weekend, too, when Nick is finally back.

We were all shocked and pleased that Shanana cut her hair. It looked loverly! Betsy and I love to talk politics with Shannon and we had some of that. It was very therapeutic, particularly after the Democratic National Convention :) We watched Simply Irresistible, a nice, sweet romantic comedy featuring the very good-looking Sean Patrick Flanery.

We had pizza and we were gonna have ice cream, but we forgot! How could I forget such a thing! Unspeakable!

Don't forget, the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is coming up! Me and the la famille might go up to Little Italy in the city to attend the festival, eat the food and watch them carry Our Lady down the street. I wonder if they'll do anything special at Immaculate Conception, which is pretty much where we go to church now. I really love the Latin! I put in a dollar at the shrine to St. Anthony they've got there, so we'll see if he's about my business. He usually is, when I ask sincerely, "and for the glory of Our Lord" and all that blah blah blah :)
