We went over to Gamertsfelder for Lyndsey's little partay around sixish. We got pizza, gave her some presents, and watched a movie or two. A good time was had by all, as far as I could see! Then we went ice skating. I was scared to death - me and slippery things do not get along well together. At all. The police have been called on at least four separate occasions to respond to domestic disturbances involving me and "slippery things." All right, enough of that. The point is, I was pretty sure that I was going to be spending most of the night on the ice ... Lying on it, not skating on it. Ohhhh look I said "lying" instead of "laying!" I used it correctly! I think! Take that, Grammar Class from Naziland! I think!
Anyway ... Now that I have mostly recovered from that particular manic episode ...
I only fell twice! Well, technically three times - on one occasion I fell twice as I was trying to get up. You can imagine how humiliating that was. However, by the end of the evening, I was doing sort of better - skating away from the wall for a few seconds, at least, before almost losing my balance and rushing back. Lyndsey, who was going on and on about what a horrible skater she was, did quite well! I saw her, she was fine! That liar, she said she was going to be hanging out in the penalty box all night. Lying liar ;) It was actually really fun, an adrenaline rush you might say. Even falling had its own thrill for me - when it did not utterly embarrass me, of course. If there was no one there but me and my friends I would have been a bit more daring and I wouldn't have minded falling at all. Not minded much, anyway!
I'll definitely go again! It was cheap fun for a Friday night!
