Ah, Snow

We have had our first big snow of the season here in Northeastern Ohio. No snow day for the boys, however! I went out with mother to buy milk, go shopping, and pay her ticket (she got a ticket for not wearing her seatbelt). Ha, ha. She was muttering, "Good-bye, yearly donation to the Fraternal Order of Police." She drove home at about ten miles an hour - not because she was afraid of being pulled over, but because the roads were rather poorly salted. She is always getting agitated about that sort of thing, and I guess I can't blame her. No scarier feeling than going into a skid.

Great article: Catholic lottery winner distributes funds to support culture of life. She gave some to Cardinal Keeler's Appeal - Cardinal Keeler? Oh well. I guess His Eminence is her bishop. I would hope that if I had that kind of luck, I would do something similar. But I don't know. I have a sinking feeling that something like jewelry, automobiles, cell phones, lap top computers, and Snickers factories would be more likely coming from an idjit like me :(
