Spaniards will have to give up their 3-hr siestaRest of article.
MADRID: Spaniards have been given a rude awakening after being told they must end their traditional siestas.
Breaks of three hours or more to allow workers to relax during the middle of the day are as much a part of the fabric of the country outside the big cities as bullfights and sangria.
But the government has announced plans to end the working day at 6pm, instead of the current 9pm or later. Employees are being encouraged to take only hour-long lunches.

This is sad
The Spaniards' productivity will still probably lag behind that of the United States- as alcoholism is to the Irish, workaholism is to the Americans! Of course, this is an idea from the current Socialist government. Bleh. Now where can I move to if I want to take a three hour nap in the middle of the day? Italy, I guess!
