Job description

For the position of Holy Roman Pontiff:

Besides the usual obligations that accompany the Sacrament of Baptism, the Sacrament of Holy Orders, and and being a successor to the Apostles, the Bishop of Rome serves as an anchor of unity for the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church. He must defend the deposit of faith against all potential threats, guiding and correcting his flock, with all charity, whenever neccesary. He may not impose his private theological views but must always serve the teaching of the Church, and thus serve the servants of God - the "servants of God" being all the Catholic faithful.

(Almost) daily tasks also include:

Lots of waving

Lots of smiling

And kissing a lot of babies

Among other pressing duties ;)

There is also a large amount of pontifical garb which the Successor to Peter must occasionally don.

Oh no! One of those Call to Action people has finally snapped after reading the Instruction on homosexuals in the seminary, and has come to smother the pope with a huge red blanket! Which makes sense as a color, given a certain prediliction for Socialism in the CTA ranks. Papa is now in the same position as that hapless Jennifer Love Hewitt in I Still Know What You Did Last Summer. Behind you, Papa, look behind you!

Oh no, wait, it's just Msgr. Gaenswein, helping you with your cloak.

::Sigh of relief:: ;)

  1. Naw, kissing babies is cute and red capes are cool! (Urge to insert "Super Pope" type puns here.)

    Call me back!
